AS Mixed-use Rural Annual Pre-Treatment Water Quality Monitoring
For drinking water supplies using theAcceptable Solution for Mixed-Use Rural Water Supplies (AS-MR), this suite ensures an annual assessment of critical chemical parameters in untreated water to identify potential risks and support long-term treatment efficiency.
Why This Suite Is Important
Annual testing for arsenic, boron, and heavy metals provides a comprehensive evaluation of long-term trends in water quality. These contaminants can accumulate over time, affecting water safety and the performance of treatment systems. Regular assessments help ensure the effectiveness of pre-treatment processes and support compliance with safe drinking water regulations.
The Maximum Acceptable Values (MAVs) and treatment limits for these determinands are:
Arsenic: 0.01 mg/L
Boron: 1.4 mg/L
Silica: No MAV, but monitoring is useful for scaling potential
Hardness: No MAV, but values over 200 mg/L may cause scaling
📌 If you have a Safe Supply Online Drinking Water Safety Plan, your test results can be automatically shared with the online tool, made available to members of your water supply, and scheduled for submission to the regulator as required.
📌 Results must be retained for at least 5 years and made available to all members of the water supply.
💬 Need Help?
Once you receive your results, we can introduce you to a water quality expert with knowledge of drinking water and treatment options to assist in understanding the results and developing a drinking water supply strategy.
Please fill in your details and we'll be in touch shortly about a trial.
